Just a quick note before I post the "real" blog to say that though everyone is horrified by the violence in Port Said after the football match yesterday, we are fine. Conspiracy theories abound, and there will doubtless be some fallout here in Cairo. Harris and I are careful as always, never go downtown when things are hot, and feel safe here in Ma'adi and at work on campus. We keep abreast of the news and so far, have had no problems. ISA, this will not escalate.
